- Take the orthotic and turn it upside down so that the shell is facing up. Custom orthotic 
- Take the insole out of your shoe, the one in which you plan to use the orthotic, one you wear a lot, or one that represents the size of shoes you wear.  Make sure it’s the correct side as the orthotic, and turn it upside down as well. Shoe insert 
- Take the insole and center it over the back edge of the shell.
- Take a pen and trace the toe end of the topcover. Trace and cut orthotic topcover 
- Cut the topcover and place the orthotic in your shoe. Leave out the insole that came out of the shoe.
