Trimming Orthotics: Seattle Foot and Ankle Center

1. Take the orthotic and turn it upside down so that the shell is facing up.

   

2. Take the insole out of your shoe, the one in which you plan to use the orthotic, one you wear a lot, or one that represents the size of shoes you wear.  Make sure it’s the correct side as the orthotic, and turn it upside down as well.

   

3. Take the insole and center it over the back edge of the shell.
4. Take a pen and trace the toe end of the topcover.

   

5. Cut the topcover and place the orthotic in your shoe.  Leave out the insole that came out of the shoe.
